ADORe-SNG

VERTO is collaborating with a number of research institutions on publicly funded projects. One of them is the “Comprehensive Automation, Digitalisation & Optimization of Renewable & Sustainable SNG-production” (short: ADORe-SNG) project funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG). It is being carried out in collaboration with two institutes from the TU Wien, BEST – Bioenergy and Sustainable Technologies GmbH, and Zühlke Engineering (Austria) GmbH. For more information on the partners, please click on the respective logos.

The first goal of this research project is the integrated process optimization and the development of a holistic control and automation concept of a 100 kW Dual Fluidised Bed gasifier with subsequent methanation at TU Wien. The potential of digitalization of the technology (e.g. by implementation of a digital twin, mixed-reality-visualization) will also be assessed. Upon successful testing and validation of the developed methods and evaluation of techno-economics of the innovation, the transferability of R&D results on industrial-sized plants is investigated.

VERTO will combine its expertise in Dual Fluidised Bed Gasification and Synthetic Natural Gas Production with its experience in Project and Public Funding Management to provide the project with ideal circumstances to achieve the specified goals within the given time and budget constraints. VERTO sees this as an opportunity both to bolster its knowledge in the aforementioned fields and to become an industry leader in the design, simulation and engineering phases of fully automated and optimised SNG plants.

This project is supported with the funds from the Climate and Energy Fund and implemented in the framework of the RTI-initiative “Energy Research (e!MISSION)”
